Derek graduated from Exeter and Yale. In the early 1960’s he fell under the wing of legendary wine man Frank Schoonmaker, which started his lifelong love affair with wine. Derek was the owner of Gateway Wine & Spirits on 70th Street and Lexington Avenue for 20 years, and continued to be involved with the business after its merger with Park Avenue Liquors in 1984. He has worked for J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and most recently was a Managing Director at Train Babcock Advisors, LLC. |

Jean-Pierre Galateau

Jean-Pierre was the CEO of Prestige Wine Corp.
NY, a fine wine importing and distributing company. He has also served
as the senior wine advisor and general manager of one of New York
City’s largest retail wine stores, and then became the Director
of the Fine & Rare Wine Department at Phillips International
Auctioneers where for four years he was responsible for all wine

Samantha Rouff

Fluent in 4 languages and a native of France, Samantha brings her auction experience of managing the finest and rarest wines auctioned at Christie's to WineCare Storage. She brings her experience in providing exceptional client service and luxury brand management to both our trade and private collector accounts. Her travels have taken her through all of the major wine regions including those of Australia, North and South America, France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland where she participated in a harvest and winemaking of Swiss wine. Samantha holds the Wine and Spirit Education Trust’s Advanced Certificate with merit, and is currently enrolled in the diploma. Contact: |
